Strategic Vision, Part 1: Alma, Rapido & Higher Education Platform. Asaf Kline, Ex Libris; Yuval Kiselstein, Ex Libris

Our long-term vision for Ex Libris products and services is greater connections for everyone involved.  Greater connections across the Ex Libris and Clarivate ecosystem; greater connections across campus and institutions for shared services, shared collections, shared collection development, and greater opportunities for resource sharing.  Bringing efficiencies and cost savings through technology and connections.

Alma Product Update. Dana Moshkovits, Ex Libris

Please join us for an Alma product update to hear about Alma's focus on providing more value to the library from workflow simplification, collaborative collection management, Linked Data, and more.

Kanopy & Chill: Using Alma to Manage Individually Licensed Media. Jen Froetschel, The George Washington University

When George Washington University switched from a PDA model for Kanopy titles to a purchase-only by faculty request model, the entire workflow for the now individually licensed titles had to be reworked, from finding full bibliographic records to end-of-lifecycle management. GWU used Alma features, such as import profiles and normalization rules, to enhance searchability, license clarity, and create easier access points. This session will present the challenges GWU faced, how they were solved, and the practices developed to streamline the workflow for managing individually licensed media titles.

Using Leganto Data to Create a Student Savings Dashboard. Shane Nackerud, University of Minnesota ; Emily McLoughlin, University of Minnesota

Demonstrating cost savings for students through the use of library licensed materials and resources is an important metric for university and college libraries. Using Leganto and Alma data, and Tableau, the University of Minnesota Libraries has developed a student savings dashboard that shows potential "cost avoidance" for students and courses that use Leganto through Canvas. In this session, we will describe how we built the dashboard, how we compute savings, what we use the dashboard for, and plans for the tool. We also welcome feedback and other ideas!
